The Ink Stack Cap and Ink Suction Nozzle are essential components in maintaining the performance and longevity of Epson I3200 printheads, commonly used in UV Direct-to-Film (UV DTF) printing systems.

Ink Stack Cap (Capping Station):

• Function: The ink stack cap, also known as the capping station, seals the printhead when not in use, preventing ink from drying and clogging the nozzles. It also plays a role in the printhead cleaning process by facilitating the suction of ink and cleaning solutions through the nozzles.
• Maintenance: Regular inspection and cleaning of the capping station are crucial. Over time, ink residue can accumulate, leading to improper sealing and potential printhead issues. Replacing the capping unit periodically ensures optimal performance.

Ink Suction Nozzle:

• Function: The ink suction nozzle works in conjunction with the capping station to draw ink through the printhead during cleaning cycles. This process helps remove air bubbles and debris, maintaining consistent ink flow and print quality.
• Maintenance: Ensure that the suction nozzle is free from blockages and functioning correctly. Regular maintenance helps prevent issues such as nozzle clogging and ink flow interruptions.
